Let me be the first to admit that my family does not spend enough quality time together. We are home with each other every day but certainly miss the mark when it comes to good quality togetherness. We get so busy in life and time just seems to slip by us. I wanted to put together a list of ways to implement more quality time in my household so my family and I sat down and came up with a few of our favorite things to do together. Here's what we came up with.
We all have them-- moments of weakness. I have them often enough that they always make an appearance in my blog posts. This started to make me question the vision and purpose of my content. Here's how God got me out of that hindrance.
I believe that God designed us to plant his truths in our hearts in order to be able to quickly apply them to our daily lives. However, if you're anything like me and struggle to remember them this list of scriptures might help. They are short but packed with power and I have found that they are much easier to memorize than a lot of the longer ones, yet they're still effective.
I am one of those people who doesn't do the whole new year's resolution thing because to be honest I just don't stick to them. I decided that this year I would do something a little different and trust in God's promises for me and my family in 2017 instead of setting goals I likely won't stay committed to. So I sought the word of God for some scriptures to stand on and I wanted to share them with you.
Nowadays, the meaning of Christmas seems to totally miss the mark. We’re all tied up in parties, presents, and every person other than the one who matters most. JESUS is the reason why we celebrate and this year I really wanted my family to get that. I put together a list of a few Jesus-focused Christmas traditions to help us out and I wanted to share them with you.
When I was young my mom used to jokingly tell people I was found in a dumpster. Growing up, this made me wonder if I was adopted and caused me to question my identity. I believe that words have the power to build us up or break us down. What kind of words are you speaking into the lives of others?
It is totally okay to be new! Remembering that I am indeed a "newbie" is what helped me overcome my fear of "looking like a newbie". Instead of trying to cover it up, I owned it and was able to successfully write and publish my very first blog post without a second thought.
