It was so cold and rainy today so the family and I didn't do much all day. We did have our 4D ultrasound though which was a lot of fun but the images were mostly placenta and umbilical cord in the baby's chubby little face (I couldn't resist including a picture of her smiling face, see below). Anyway, that only took up about 45 minutes of our day. Other than that we just stayed in the house watching a kids baking championship show on TV. Truth be told, I had no idea what I was going to write about. Only three days into the daily series and I already started to wonder why I even took on the challenge. Then I opened the bible app on my phone and read the verse of the day and BOOM, just like that, I had a revelation.
"I am the vine; you are the branches. if you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing." - John 15:5
I love this verse and the aha moment it gave me at just the right time. Not only can I do nothing apart from him but there is nothing I can't do because of his spirit that is in me. It's so amazing how he always comes through and just makes things work out for the good of his glory. He knows me so well and always patiently gives me those gentle reminders that I need. All I can do is praise him in this moment for giving me everything I need to successfully write every blog I write. This is exactly why I blog; to be the branch that bears the Lord's promised fruit. I love to be the vessel of encouragement for others but even more than that, I love these moments that I have with God and the lessons that I learn along the way. I don't think that there's ever a day that will go by that isn't an opportunity to learn something. No matter how big or small, life lessons are everywhere. Always keep your eyes open! Stay blessed and unhindered!
